prosthetic limbs

Historically, prosthetic limbs have been no more than a stick with a hook on the end for some sort of gripping, but now, people are creating even more complex ones, involving 5 moving fingers, and the ability to control the motors with with your mind.  Currently, the most advanced model of a prosthetic arm involves full motor control via the brain, motors that are powerful enough to allow the user to scale rock walls, and some even feature sensors in the fingertips that use the nerves at the ends of the amputated arm to stimulate the sense of touch.  As technology progressivly moves forward, the possibility for prosthetics becoming enhancements as opposed to replacements increases, meaning that having an artificial limb could be advandageous.
